Wirth and Merry

Wirth
Wirth was a person who saw everything as being divided by race and ethnicity who don't have much interaction with other races. He states that people don't really care much to get to know someone and that the only time we come together is when we need something, when it's convenient. No one really gets to know each other until it requires them too and that they are selfish. In a way i agree with his views on this because we really don't really get to know strangers. In a city that is constantly moving so fast and everyone being worried about their own problems why bother with others.


Merry
Merry's ideas were close and similar to Wirth's views. Merry states that people only really communicate with the people and race they know, and that they don't really care too much to go outside of the box. to get to know others. Merry also states that when we meet a stranger we immediately assume the worst, we don't give much space to get to know someone. Merry witnessed many suspicious activities that prove those conclusions correct.
